Favorite class at VSB and why?

8:30 AM Intermediate Accounting with Tom Monahan. He challenged us every class. You had to be heavily caffeinated for his class! After a less than stellar test score, he pulled me aside and told me it was unacceptable (I think it was a B). Mr. Monahan also took interest to make sure I had an internship or a job that was beneficial to what I was learning. I’ll never forget the extra effort he extended to me.

Most important thing you learned?

Staying organized, focused and motivated – all 4 years at Villanova I commuted to school an hour each way, attended morning classes and worked almost every day of the week. Villanova kept me motivated to keep getting up each morning and striving to improve.

Favorite Villanova memory?

Two memories: Friends – after only having friends that lived local to me all my life, meeting a diverse group that came from across the country was very appreciated. Graduation – It wasn’t easy but looking back at the photos and sharing it with my parents, siblings and my girlfriend (now wife for 23 years) was a very rewarding experience.
